Guides
Basically, this is where some guides that I could understand will go and even some that I wrote. I'll give credit to whoever wrote the guide and what site they put it on. Headspin Guide:
This is my first attempt at helping people with their headspins and my first guide so here goes nothing!
Ok first of get on your head and lock your legs straight in the air and balance yourself with your hands.
This will help you find your center of balance and also build up your muscles in your forearm and neck.
DON'T I repeat DON'T keep doing it over and over if your head hurts.
Its natural for your head to hurt because your are most likely doing something that it hasn't done before and it requires new muscles and getting use to it.
Also holding your place even if you have your balance is good for gaining strength.
So If your feeling confident that you've found your center of balance then you can unlock your legs and spread them apart like a split except a little bit more relaxed and not locked.
The reason they aren't locked is so its easier to use the strength of your legs to gain momentum.
When your legs are in this position try moving your hands and rotating yourself this way.
This will get you use to spinning on balance. Just doing this alone helps with being able to control the angle at which you spin so you won't topple over very quickly.
After you think your ready for the next step then its time to actually spin.
Get in the same position as before and this time twist your waist a little bit in the opposite direction that you are spinning(e.g. if you're spinning clockwise then twist counterclockwise).
This adds speed and momentum.
Then whip your legs around in a fast motion the way you are twisting and extend your hands for extra balance.
Make sure to catch yourself if you feel like you are about to fall.
This may not come naturally but eventually it will be easier to tell when your are about to fall and evetually you won't be falling!
For taps you might wanna practice floating a little bit then sorta "throw" yourself by pushing your body with your hands.
By the way don't worry about your whole body weight on your head. When you spin it creates a force and your whole weight isn't being pressured on your head.
The faster you spin the less you feel your weight.
I also recommend practicing this with shoes because the extra weight on your feet help you get a fast whip when you spinning.
TAPS TIPS If you want to do tips then when you get to the point when your about to spins let your hands off the ground but let your fingertips drag on the ground.
This makes it alot easier for you to learn to catch yourself when you are about to go for your next tap and gets you use to catching yourself.
